Janet Berres has been reading cards for over twenty-five years. As a reader
of the tarot, literally thousands of clients have consulted Janet for her uncanny
insights into their life's events.
Along with readings, Janet has taught tarot classes throughout the
Chicagoland area. Her adult education classes at :

were all well attended, and garnered enthusiastic feedback from the students. She also has taught at:

Ms. Berres is President and Founding Mother of the
International Tarot Society
(incorporated in 1997. As originator and chief organizer of the 1st
and 2nd World Tarot Congresses (1997 and 1999).
Janet did the ground-breaking work of uniting tarot enthusiasts and professionals together to
exchange ideas, build community
and create a forum for networking during these bi-annual events.
Six countries were represented, along with 38 states from the U.S.
Out of her inspiration, many other tarot conferences have since been produced.
Ms. Berres has been written up in :
Today's Chicago Woman (July 1989 and Feb. 1991),
and been featured in the
Chicago Tribune's Tempo section in December 1997,
and has published Textbook of the Tarot,
a definitive book on how to read the tarot cards,
in February 1998.
She has also written numerous articles
and appeared on TV, cable and radio.
Janet maintains a large private practice in the Chicagoland area where she resides with her family.
